Sunny Valentine (Manfred), BobsBBQ (Bob) and Bruce Mangosteen (Ray) are putting together a new place for you to hang and drink with your mates. The place will be called Shooters, and it will be located in the present location of Lennies: At the Soi Diamond entrance to Walking Street. Convenient from the baht bus route and directly accessible by motorbikes all night, Shooters will be a great place to relax, chew the rag, play with girls and, of course, DRINK!

Shooters will be designed around relaxed fun. No ping pong balls, no raffles, no techno or rap, just good old classic rock, blues and country played at a sensible volume level in comfortable, relaxed surroundings. Girls will be available to join your fun, but if you just want to hang with your mates, toss back a few drinks and nibble on some great Bobs BBQ food, you'll have all the space you need.

A special feature of Shooters will be the Private Entertainment Room in the back. In there you will have separate music and video feeds available. You can relax and watch sports, watch a movie or TV show, or even turn off the TV and spend some "quality" private time with one (or more?) of our lovely Shooters girls. The Private Entertainment Room is your place to spend a bit of time away from the crowd, doing what YOU want to do.

Our theme will be decidedly American, although all are welcome regardless of where you are from. We will encourage our friends to bring Americana to be put up on the walls, and there will be a place for ALL of you to plaster your stickers as well. We want Shooters to be your personal place to spend time when you are in Pattaya.

Ray, Bob and Manfred will be the visible faces in Shooters. I will be in the bar most evenings (when I am not called away to work), with Bob and Manfred in on various nights as well. We are friends, so on any given night you will probably find more than one of us on board anyway. We'll see to it that the music and volume are to your liking, the girls are being friendly enough (but not TOO friendly, unless you want that), and that the party keeps rolling.

Shooters will also feature the great food from Bobs BBQ. Bob will be adding to the menu presently available at Lennies; new offerings will include more Mexican food and a greater variety of Bob's famous slow-smoked bbq favorites.

Manfred has assembled a fine bar staff, and they will be invited to stay. We will also retain the girls who want to stay, so your favorite Lennies girl will still have a job if she wants it. We will keep our free internet access, and there will still be a computer for you to use to check e-mail or surf smut for your girl.

In all, our goal is to retain the best parts of Lennies, the polite friendly staff, the pretty ladies, the fantastic beer and liquor selection (with some great additions to be announced) and obviously the excellent and convenient location. Shooters will be Lennies kicked up a notch, an even better and more welcoming place to hang and drink.

Look for some changes starting this month. The goal is to "soft open" around July 1, with a Fourth of July party scheduled for, well, July 4. That will feature an American-style barbecue, with fireworks provided by the girls! Don't miss it!

In the meantime, please continue to come hang at Lennies. I will be back in town later this week, and you will find me in there most nights. As usual, Bob and Manfred will also be around. Come on in and share your thoughts for Shooters. We want this to be YOUR place to hang, so your opinions and ideas are welcomed and encouraged.

Park your bike at the entrance to Soi Diamond; no need to move it for the closing of Walking Street. Start your evening with us and some great Bob's BBQ food. Relax and hang with your friends and the Shooters girls. Bring your date for the evening around to party. Come find the night owls during our late-night hours. And have that nightcap just steps from your bike, the motorbike taxis parked right outside our door, and the baht busses that pass right by us and are parked waiting for charters across Second Road at the corner of Pattaya Tai.
