Covent Garden Area Bar Crawl

Category: FLB Bar Crawl, Added: May 04, 2007
FLB Bar, Pattaya
I was lucky enough to partake of another FLB Bar Crawl around Pattaya City last night. What a life I lead :-)

The choice was Soi 1 / Soi 2 or Made in Thailand Beer Bar Complex or Covent Garden Area just off Walking Street. A 'not so narrow' vote was won by the Covent Garden Area and after our free Pizza supplied by hosts Martin & Ricky of the FLB Bar, we were led off by Adam from the Cherry Bar.

It's only a very short stroll from the FLB to our first port of call, 'The Rolling Stone 2 Bar', and seeing as the rain had departed for the time being, pleasant enough.

Rolling Stone Bar 2, Pattaya
The 'Rolling Stone Bar 2' has a live band who were just in the process of 'setting up' as we arrived. In the meantime we were all escorted to our seats in the large bar area by some most attractive Thai Bar Girls. Prices are about average around Pattaya with a Gin & Tonic costing 110 baht.

Despite this being only the first bar of the night, one of the 20 or so members on the crawl was so taken with his hostess that the descision was made to pay a 'barfine' for her straight away. She changed and joined the rest of on the walk to the next venue, Catz A-Go-Go.

Catz a go go, Pattaya
Catz is, in my view, one of the better a-go-go's on Walking Street. Drink prices are more than acceptable infact, with the perfectly timed 'Happy Hours', often downright 'cheap', whilst the 'shows' put on by the 'better than average' go-go girls are 'top' quality.

One of the best features of the Covent Garden Area Bar Crawl is the close proximity of the Go-Go's, with no less than four sharing the same access foyer! Hence it was indeed a very short walk to the next three venues (Taboo Club, Club Boesche & X-Zone).

Taboo Club a-go-go, Pattaya
Taboo Club A-Go-Go is a fairly large space with plenty of seating around the two Main stages and two podiums. It really has to be said that the girls who dance on the Podiums are possible some of the most 'enegetic' dancers in town. In many 'pole dancing' venues, the girls simply grip the pole and shuffle their feet more or less in time to the music, not so here! These girls really do know a few moves.

Club Boesche, Pattaya
Next stop, Club Boesche situated right next door to Catz this, again, is one of the most popular Go-Go Bars on Walking Street. With its Main Central Stage, Glass floord second level stage and Jacuzzi area it really does have something for everybody.

My favourites seats are around the main stage, it's a little 'close to the action' but it does offer the best view of the naked soapy dancers writhing around on the glass ceiling. Very nice. That said, the Jacuzzi, for obviously reasons is extremely popular with a fair amount of 'hands on' entertainment.

X Zone, Pattaya
The next port of call was up on the second floor, directly above Taboo, it's the X-Zone .... a wonderful place. Here there is the main 'show stage' and many smaller stages from which two ladies demonstrate their 'flexibility' and 'exhibitionism'.

Additionally, for the right amount of 'Baht tip', this show can become pleasantly 'interactive' (within reason) and I've seen many a guy leave this place with the beaming smile of the 'cat that just got the cream'. At the end of the crawl, X-Zone was voted the No.1 venue by the majority of the guys and despite some very good competition from Catz & Club Boesche ........ I agree.

Silk Ribbons Beer Bar, Pattaya
X-Zone was the last of the Go-Go's that we would be visiting and the final stop was a Bar called the Silk Ribbons Beer Bar. A well run and friendly bar were the girls have a taste for Sambuca ....... one of my favourites too and much better than the usual 'Tequila' shot favoured by many bars.

A number of the girls were extremely attractive and a friend and I paid bar for two of them with the proviso that no 'boom boom' was expected or even required, just some company for the next hour or two. Obviously they agreed as they consider this 'money for nothing'.

Overall a great night out, thanks again.
